Why you care
A flat minimum across the year is a blunt instrument. High minimums in shoulder season are how calendars go empty; low minimums in peak season are how you chop a profitable week into three turnovers.
Worked example
A 5-night minimum over spring break protects the week. The same 5-night minimum in September can leave you at 30% occupancy in a month that would happily sell 2-night weekends.
