Money & Performance

ADR Average Daily Rate

The average price you actually got per night you sold.

Why you care

It is the number owners quote at parties and the number that means the least on its own. A $400 ADR on 40 nights a year loses to a $210 ADR on 240 nights, every time.

Worked example

You booked 180 nights last year and collected $43,200 in nightly rate. $43,200 ÷ 180 = $240 ADR. Note what is not in there: cleaning fees and taxes are not rate, so they do not belong in ADR.
